Sounds like you've been bitten by the CLD bug.
CLD is "Chrome and Leather Disease". Welcome to my
world. I figure a bike isn't really mine until I
have modified a bunch of areas to better suit my
tastes. Sounds like you'll have a real nice ride
when it's done.

PS: You did remember to tell the body shop to use
a catalyzed polyurethane paint system, didn't you?
Custom paint work tends to be expensive, and I for
one would hate to hear that your pretty new paint
job is fading away. Just food for thought.
